Howard Udell

Howard M. Udell, aged 90, of Grand Rapids MI, passed away peacefully Monday, May 30, 2005. He was preceded in death by his wife, Esther, in 1969; five brothers, Frank, Amos, Henry, Nelson and Kenneth Udell; three sisters, Beatrice Hollenbeck, Bertha Purvis, and Eva Udell. Surviving are his daughters, Jo Udell and Sue Udell; his sisters, Marian Fangboner, Ethel Merryman, and Marie Aller; many nieces nephews; and his special friend, Helen Eaton. Howard served with the U.S. Army Bushmasters during World War II. Funeral and committal services will be held 12:30 p.m. Thursday in the chapel at Luther Village, 2000 32nd St. SE. Interment in Holy Cross Cemetery. If you would like to pay your respects to Howard, please visit the Reyers North Valley Chapel from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday.
